Position Overview

Reporting directly to the site EHS Engineer and Regional Group Leader, you will play a central role in auditing, risk reduction, incident prevention, and driving a zero-harm safety culture. This position offers direct corporate visibility, hands-on mentorship, and a clear pipeline for long-term career growth in global industrial safety.
Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope
ISO Audit & Compliance Execution: Assist in implementing, auditing, and maintaining compliance for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) systems.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Mitigation: Perform continuous floor audits, evaluate ergonomic/operational risks, and implement immediate engineering controls.
Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Lead thorough incident and near-miss inquiries, determine root causes using formal methodologies, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
Safety Training & Workforce Engagement: Develop and facilitate engaging safety orientations, proper PPE protocols, chemical handling programs, and emergency response drills.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the site technical advisor for plant management, production leads, and HR regarding compliance, 5S standards, and ergonomics.
Authorized Stop-Work Authority: Fully empowered to immediately stop any operational task deemed unsafe or non-compliant until corrective protocols are enforced.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience
Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on industrial safety experience).
Technical Background: Demonstrated experience conducting facility audits, chemical safety management, and hazard communication in a manufacturing/tech hub.
Standards Awareness: Solid working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards, 5S principles, and emergency response procedures.
Preferred Compliance Exposure: Prior experience with ISO 9001/14001/45001, RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) standards, ESD control, RoHS, or C-TPAT is a major advantage.
Communication Skills: Professional written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to influence plant personnel at all organizational levels.
