This is a great opportunity for a skilled carpenter with previous leading hand or supervisory experience looking for ongoing work on a major construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working as a Leading Hand Carpenter across an ongoing construction project.
- Assisting the Site Manager with all aspects of day-to-day construction activities.
- Supervising and coordinating trades and labour on site as required.
- Completing general carpentry and construction works.
- Reading and working from plans, drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring works are completed to project specifications, quality requirements and deadlines.
- Coordinating materials, tools and resources required for daily works.
- Supporting site productivity and maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Identifying and reporting any issues or delays to the Site Manager.
- Ensuring site activities comply with relevant WHS requirements and project procedures.
- Working in accordance with OFSC safety requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification - Carpentry
- Previous experience working as a Leading Hand or in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong experience across commercial or residential construction projects.
- Ability to confidently coordinate trades and assist with site management.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, plans and specifications.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, hardworking and professional.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- $60–$65/hr flat, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 4:30pm.
- Saturday | 7:00am – 12:00pm.
- Hours may vary slightly depending on the scope of works.
- Immediate start available for the successful candidate.
- Work with an established construction company.
- Opportunity to work closely with an experienced Site Manager and construction team.
