Expert Witness – Complex Care (Registered Nurse / Care Specialist) Location: National | Remote Salary: Experience Dependent | Competitive Day Rate New Way Recruitment is seeking an experienced Complex Care professional to undertake Expert Witness report writing assignments on a national basis. This is a specialist opportunity suited to senior clinicians and care leaders who possess extensive knowledge of complex health and social care needs and can provide clear, balanced, evidence-based opinion within legal proceedings. This role offers flexible, remote working and the opportunity to utilise your clinical expertise in a highly respected, advisory capacity. The Role You will prepare detailed, impartial expert witness reports relating to individuals with complex care needs, often within litigation or Court of Protection matters. Your professional insight will directly influence care planning, funding decisions and long-term outcomes. Key Responsibilities Produce high-quality, court-compliant expert witness reports within agreed timescales Review medical records, care documentation, witness statements and case materials Undertake remote or face-to-face assessments where required Provide clear, evidence-based opinions on liability, causation, quantum and future care needs Quantify complex care packages, case management and equipment requirements Attend joint expert meetings and provide court testimony if required Maintain strict impartiality, confidentiality and professional integrity Ensure full compliance with CPR Part 35 and expert witness standards About You Registered Nurse or Senior Care Professional with extensive complex care experience Significant background in areas such as neurological injury, spinal injury, brain injury, learning disability, or long-term complex health conditions Strong working knowledge of care package design, MDT collaboration and funding frameworks Exceptional written communication and analytical skills Confident, credible and able to defend professional opinion under scrutiny Previous expert witness experience desirable but not essential Why Apply National, fully remote opportunity with flexible caseload Competitive remuneration aligned to experience Opportunity to influence life-changing care outcomes Professional, specialist assignments within a respected legal framework If you are a senior care professional seeking a strategic, advisory role where your expertise carries genuine impact, we welcome a confidential discussion.
