Order Picker Forklift Driver (Cherry Picker)

Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Work Environment: Non-air-conditioned warehouse. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying temperatures and a fast-paced distribution environment.

Position Summary

Core Personnel Staffing is seeking experienced Order Picker (Cherry Picker) Forklift Drivers to join a growing warehouse team in Grand Prairie, TX. This position is ideal for individuals who have recent forklift experience, value safety, and are committed to maintaining productivity and accuracy in a high-volume distribution center.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Cherry Picker forklift, using RF scanners, handling inventory, and working in a fast-paced warehouse while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Essential Job Duties

• Safely operate a Cherry Picker (Order Picker) forklift to retrieve, transport, and store inventory.

• Utilize RF scanners to accurately pick, scan, and move products throughout the warehouse.

• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including the proper use of fall protection equipment (harness and tether).

• Accurately pick customer orders while meeting productivity and quality standards.

• Load, unload, stack, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.

• Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock replenishment as needed.

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

• Support other warehouse functions when business needs require.

• Work mandatory overtime during the week and Saturdays when scheduled.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Cherry Picker/Order Picker forklift experience required.

• Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment preferred.

• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and operate equipment throughout the entire shift.

• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.

• Ability to successfully complete:

  • Forklift driving assessment

  • Written warehouse assessment

  • Employment verification process

• Fluent English is required to safely communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and follow workplace instructions.
