Payroll Officer

We’re partnering with an organisation in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to support their team for an initial 3-month temporary contract.
This is a varied role responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll across multiple awards. You’ll also assist employees and managers with payroll queries, maintain accurate employee information and help resolve any discrepancies.

A typical week might see you:

• Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
• Reviewing timesheets and correcting time and attendance errors
• Maintaining payroll records for new starters and employee changes
• Processing deductions, allowances, leave and pay adjustments
• Interpreting and applying multiple awards and relevant pay conditions
• Investigating payroll discrepancies and responding to employee queries
• Assisting managers with timesheet and payroll-related issues
• Completing payroll reporting and reconciliations
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes
• Maintaining confidentiality across all employee and payroll information

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Previous end-to-end payroll processing experience
• Confidence working across multiple awards
• Good knowledge of payroll legislation and relevant employee entitlements
• Dayforce experience would be highly regarded
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Good Excel and broader Microsoft Office skills
• The ability to manage deadlines and resolve payroll queries promptly
• A helpful and professional approach when communicating with employees and managers
