Contract Finance Analyst

This large, fast-paced business plays a key role in keeping us connected, delivering ICT infrastructure, telecommunications, supply chain and logistics services nationwide. They are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst to join their team on an hourly rate contract.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a hands-on role combining financial and management accounting with a strong focus on data analysis and reporting.

We're looking for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, interrogating data, identifying discrepancies and working out practical solutions. You'll work closely with the finance team and data analysts to improve reporting accuracy, streamline processes and ensure operational data flows correctly through to financial reporting and customer billing.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting month-end processes, reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis.
• Working with Power BI and data analysts to improve reporting, data integrity and visibility.
• Reviewing 3PL customer billing processes, identifying discrepancies and resolving invoicing issues.
• Analysing financial and operational data to understand performance, margins and key business drivers.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling activities.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, controls and processes, reducing manual work and rework.
• Working closely with operational and finance stakeholders to investigate issues and implement practical solutions.

What We're Looking For

You'll bring a solid accounting foundation, strong analytical skills and a natural curiosity for understanding how things work.

Ideally, you'll have:

• A CA/CPA qualification or equivalent experience across financial and management accounting.
• Strong Power BI exposure, advanced Excel skills and confidence working with complex datasets.
• Experience in 3PL, logistics or supply chain environments, particularly customer billing and the flow of operational data into invoicing.
• Strong reconciliation, problem-solving and process improvement skills.
• The ability to work across finance, operations and data teams to get to the bottom of issues.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to challenge data, question processes and follow things through.

Above all, we're looking for someone who enjoys a role with some traditional month end work combined with solving problems, making sense of complex data and turning findings into improved reporting.
