We recruit for employers across the energy and communications sectors, with roles supporting data centre construction, fit-out, commissioning and maintenance.

The roles

Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:

• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and specifications
• Installing cable containment, cabling, switchboards and distribution equipment
• Working on critical power systems, including UPS systems and standby generators
• Completing electrical testing, fault-finding and preventative maintenance
• Supporting commissioning, inspections and system handovers
• Following site isolation procedures and permit-to-work requirements
• Maintaining accurate test results, installation records and other documentation
• Working safely alongside other trades and project teams

About you

• Australian electrical trade qualification or equivalent international qualification
• Relevant Australian electrical licence for the work and location, or willingness to complete the required recognition and licensing process before undertaking licensed work
• Relevant post-apprenticeship experience
• Previous experience on data centre projects or within operational data centres
• Experience with critical power infrastructure and electrical distribution systems
• Ability to read drawings and work accurately to specifications
• Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Australian construction White Card where required, or willingness to obtain one before commencing site work
