Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Oil Shaker Line Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring a heat treat furnace line, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up the production line according to work orders and operating procedures.
- Perform routine equipment checks and complete maintenance tasks prior to line startup.
- Monitor oil and water filtration systems and replace filters as needed.
- Complete in-process quality inspections and identify defects or irregularities.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or out-of-spec conditions.
- Safely operate production equipment and related machinery.
- Load, unload, and stage parts while preventing product mix-ups.
- Operate manual oiling stations and assist with additional production equipment as assigned.
- Prepare finished products for quality inspection, packaging, and shipment.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and logs.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe while following all safety procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions and assist with general housekeeping throughout the production area.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic production issues and work independently.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, heat, and industrial conditions.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection when required.
