Summary: Nesco Resource is hiring dependable and motivated Kitter to join a world-class beverage manufacturing facility in Webster, NY. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art production equipment in a modern manufacturing environment while supporting plant operations through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (12-Hour Shifts)
- Rotating Schedule: 2 Days On, 2 Days Off - Alternating Weekends Off
- Example:
- Week 1: Sun (Off), Mon–Tues (On), Wed–Thurs (Off), Fri–Sat (On) = 48 Hours
- Week 2: Sun (On), Mon–Tues (Off), Wed–Thurs (On), Fri–Sat (Off) = 36 Hours
- Example:
Pay: $25.50 - $27.00 Quarterly Bonus Eligible
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety rules, work procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practice ( GMP) standards. Keep your work area clean and ready for inspections.
- Read production schedules and adjust your work if the schedule changes.
- Weigh, measure, organize, and label ingredients correctly.
- Read and complete batch records accurately.
- Receive incoming materials and make sure they meet company and legal standards.
- Clean equipment such as silos and processing lines daily. This includes:
- Hand cleaning parts
- Using Clean-In-Place ( CIP) systems
- Using Clean-Out-of-Place ( COP) methods
- Take accurate samples to:
- Check cleaning systems ( CIP) for proper chemical levels
- Support quality testing of products
- Maintain equipment such as pumps, valves, and heat exchangers by following routine maintenance schedules.
- Complete all cleaning and maintenance tasks each shift, including:
- Master Sanitation Schedule ( M S S)
- Centerline ( CL) tasks
- Clean, Inspect, Lubricate ( CIL) tasks
- Communicate with other teams (before and after your process) about any delays or schedule changes.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot minor issues and escalate when necessary
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate equipment effectively after training
- Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication
Food Safety Requirements:
- Report any issues that may impact product quality or food safety
- Perform all duties in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory standards
- Take action to prevent food safety or quality issues
- Identify and document concerns related to materials, processes, or systems
- Stop or control processing or use of nonconforming product until resolved
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying up to 60 pounds, with team lifting required for items over 100 pounds.
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping include pushing and pulling materials such as pallets and pipe fittings.
- Squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, turning under equipment and connecting or serving equipment.
- Climbing, balancing, reaching of stairs or ladders is required
- Hand use and dexterity for operating equipment, connecting fittings, and performing cleaning duties.
- Work conditions may include exposure to ambient and elevated temperatures ( up to approximately 110°F) due to equipment operation and sanitation processes.
