[Position Overview]
・An electronics engineer responsible for domain controller products and other products currently in mass production.
Based at the Ibaraki office, you will primarily be responsible for the hardware design and development of “domain controllers” (for ADAS, body systems, or integrated cockpits). Your mission will be to leverage Valeo's global standards and cutting-edge technologies to develop complex products equipped with high-performance SoCs (Systems-on-Chip )
and high-speed communication interfaces, ensuring they meet both functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity requirements.
Background】
Due to a new ADx project being assigned for mass production at our Ibaraki plant, we are opening this position to strengthen our organizational structure. This is an expansion-driven recruitment to support the new project, not a backfill for a departure.
[Key Responsibilities]
◎Hardware Design & Development
・Design and develop electronic circuits for domain controller products.
・Design analog/digital circuits.
・Design peripheral circuits for SoCs, MCUs, and DDR4/DDR5 memory.
・Design power supply circuits (DC-DC converters, PMICs, etc.).
・Design automotive communication circuits (CAN, LIN, etc.).
◎Development Documentation
・Create ITS (In-circuit Test Specifications).
・Create SPPC (Special Product and Process Characteristics).
・Prepare technical documents and design reference materials.
◎Cross-Functional Collaboration
・Collaborate with the Software, System, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to achieve product optimization.
・Optimize BOM (Bill of Materials).
・Evaluate productivity improvements.
・Resolve technical issues.
◎Design Review & Verification
・Participate in Design Reviews (DR).
・Define test requirements for EOLT (End of Line Tester).
・Conduct product verification and mass-production viability checks.
◎Production Transfer & Technical Transfer
・Transfer product definition information, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
・Execute technical transfer to the production department.
・Support the launch of manufacturing processes.
◎Mass Production Support & Quality Improvement
・Participate in plant QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control).
・Analyze causes of defects during mass production.
・Drive problem-solving activities on the manufacturing shop floor.

Requirements
Eligibility Requirements [Required (MUST)]
・Practical experience in the development of vehicles, in-vehicle ECUs, or automotive components (3+ years)
・Experience in hardware development and design for embedded products (3+ years) *Most important
・Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.)
・Ability to read mechanical 2D drawings/machine drawings
・Conversational Japanese or higher
・Business English or higher

・Knowledge of standards such as functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity
・Knowledge of system design related to hardware design
・Knowledge of electronic components and printed circuit boards
