Finance Manager | Commodity Trading | US MNC

An exclusive opportunity to seek for an experienced Trade Finance Manager to oversee core finance and accounting activities across Hong Kong and Asia. The role focuses on full set of accounts, financial reporting and governance, compliance and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic decision-making. This position will also contribute to ongoing process enhancements, system initiatives, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to the General Manager in Hong Kong while maintaining a direct reporting line to the Financial Controller in the USA.
• Supervise daily finance department operations to ensure absolute compliance with global accounting standards and internal policies.
• Autonomously review, manage, and execute purchase and sales contracts, including full Letter of Credit (LC) payment workflows.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable ledgers, coordinate payment schedules, and proactively follow up on overdue invoices; a solid understanding of L/C negotiation is highly preferred.
• Oversee the preparation of quarterly financial reports, ensuring the accuracy of profit allocations made by company traders or agents before submission to USA corporate management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, ideally complemented by a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
• A minimum of 10 years of Accounting or Finance experience, and at least 3-4 years experience in Trade Finance instruments (i.e. Letters of Credits (L/C), Documentary Collection (D/P & D/A), Bank guarantee and trade credits.)
• Strong proficiency in utilizing computerized accounting systems and enterprise resource planning software.
• Prior experience within a trading company or a banking environment with exposure to Letter of Credit (LC) operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent business communication skills, with absolute fluency in both English and Mandarin.
