We are hiring a QA lead for a multi-material home & kitchenware manufacturer / trading business. This role will build and drive an end-to-end quality system—from new product development (NPD) through shipment approval—while pushing quality upstream into design and development. The same standards must also be deployed to outsourced suppliers to ensure products meet overseas customer requirements and regulatory compliance.

Primary base: Guangdong factory (approx. 3–4 days/week)
Hong Kong office (approx. 1–2 days/week)
Frequent travel between factory and office is required
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain an end-to-end quality system: design/sample → pilot → mass production ramp-up → final release
- NPD quality planning: develop QA specifications, quality control plans, and risk assessments (e.g., FMEA / process risk assessment)
- Customer complaint & issue handling: lead root cause analysis and CAPA/8D; drive closure with internal teams and customers
- Data-driven management: establish quality dashboards, trend analysis, and decision-making routines
- Lab & regulatory compliance: coordinate third-party testing (e.g., food-contact materials, REACH) and manage compliance documentation
- Supplier quality management: set standards and auditing mechanisms for outsourced suppliers; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with R&D/engineering/production/sales to ensure quality requirements are implemented
Performance focus (examples)
- Timeliness of QA specs / quality plans for new products
- Complaint closure speed (CAPA completion + customer acceptance cycle)
- Quarterly supplier performance and improvement delivery
- Continuous reduction of cost of quality (COQ) and defect rates
- Control of shipment delays / line stops caused by quality issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above (Engineering / Manufacturing / Quality Management preferred)
- 8–10+ years of QA / quality systems experience in manufacturing (home & kitchenware / multi-material processes preferred)
- Strong experience in supplier quality management, audits, and improvement programs
- Familiar with third-party testing workflows and food-contact compliance is a plus
- Strong written English for email and external communication
- Execution-oriented and comfortable working on-site to drive improvements
