Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and quality-checking products accurately and efficiently. The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to follow warehouse, shipping, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against shipping documents.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged products, or missing items.
- Enter shipment receipts into a computer system and print shipping labels.
- Pick outbound orders using RF scanners.
- Verify product quantities and ensure the correct products are selected.
- Select appropriate packaging and pack products securely.
- Move completed packages to the designated quality-check area or conveyor line.
- Pack and unpack boxes and load/unload boxes from pallets.
- Follow all warehouse, shipping, and safety procedures.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity while completing assigned tasks.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of warehouse experience preferred.
- Previous shipping, receiving, picking, or packing experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience using RF scanners is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly pack and unpack boxes and handle warehouse materials.
- Ability to lift light to moderate weights.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment and, at times, in confined areas.
- Ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
