We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for casual shift opportunities across New South Wales, including:
- Ocean Shores
- Tweed Heads
- Banora Point
- Mullumbimby
- Ballina
- Lismore
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting participants with personal care and daily living activities
- Medication administration
- Manual handling and mobility assistance
- Domestic assistance and meal preparation
- Supporting participants with behaviours of concern in line with Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Encouraging participation in community, social, and recreational activities
- Providing support in both one-on-one and shared living environments
- Transporting participants using either a company vehicle or your own registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing, or equivalent)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current Blue Card (where required)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
- Full Australian working rights
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently
- Previous experience working in Supported Independent Living (SIL), community disability support, or complex care is highly regarded
