Blu Healthcare is seeking experienced Casual Disability Support Workers for a potencial Temp-to-Perm opportunity within Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes located in Banora Point and Tweed Heads. This role involves supporting participants with complex care needs while delivering high-quality, person-centred support in a residential setting.

About the role

  • Provide support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) arrangements.
  • Work within a 24-hour care model across a variety of shifts, including morning shifts (from 6:00 AM), afternoon shifts (from 2:00 PM), and sleepover shifts.
  • Assist participants with personal care, hygiene, medication administration, manual handling, meal preparation, domestic duties, and community access.
  • Support participants with epilepsy and seizure management, following individual care plans and protocols.
  • Provide both one-on-one and shared support within a group home environment.
  • Transport participants to appointments, social activities, and community outings using your own reliable vehicle.
  • Deliver person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, and quality of life.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience working within SIL disability support services
  • Experience supporting participants with Epilepsy and Seizure Management
  • Demonstrated experience with Catheter Care
  • Experience with personal careand medication assistance
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Qld driver's license
  • A roadworthy, registered, and insured vehicle
  • Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Current National Police check
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate "Quality, Safety and You"

Highly Desirable

  • Midazolam Administration Training Certificate (preferred) or willingness to obtain.
