Role:

  • V-cycle support at the OEM as the bridge between customers and D&D team
  • Specification discussion with the OEM
  • Validation support at the OEM
  • Field failure part analysis support at the OEM
  • Good cross-functional team communication
  • Managing the resident engineer’s team

Responsibilities:

  • OEM interface
    • Interface with OEM D&D team to support all V-cycle product development and to collect OEM concerns and data.
    • Present the D&D feedback and status to the customer.
  • Validation support and bug analysis
    • Participate in validation events on the OEM side.
    • Support product testing.
    • Collect product log for bug analysis.
    • Collect and analyze according to the D&D process part analysis procedures and respecting timing commitments from customers.
  • Field failure part analysis with customer
    • Technically analyze the field parts with the D&D team support and present the analysis status to the OEM.
  • Good cross-functional team communication
    • Customer feedback and technical analysis feedback should be communicated to various teams in the organization and solutions provided by them.
  • Managing the resident engineers team
    • Build competency and career plan including training plan following business and company targets and employee expectations.

Requirements

  • Japanese & English: Business level communication skills
  • Engineering Degree
    • Computer science and SW Master degree preferred
  • Experience in R&D development activities
    • 5 to 15 years according to Manager/Leader/Engineer
    • More than 5 years in the automotive industry (Telematics field preferred)
