Role & Responsibilities:
As a Junior School teacher at Toorak College, you will:
- Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging, differentiated learning experiences that meet the diverse academic, social and emotional needs of students.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, independence and a lifelong love of learning through inquiry-based practices.
- Use assessment data and evidence-informed teaching strategies to monitor student progress, provide meaningful feedback and support continuous improvement.
- Build strong partnerships with students, families and colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and connected Junior School community.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of innovative curriculum and learning experiences aligned with the Schools’ educational philosophy and strategic priorities.
- Support the wellbeing, personal growth and holistic development of every student while maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Actively contribute to the broader life of the School through co-curricular programs, professional learning and community events.
This position is offered on a full-time basis, with flexibility for the successful candidate to be considered for either ongoing or fixed-term employment, depending on their suitability and the College’s operational requirements. Specific classes and year levels taught will be determined according to the candidate’s expertise, experience, and operational requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Primary Education or equivalent.
- Current VIT registration essential.
- Demonstrated experience and passion for teaching in a Junior School setting.
- Excellent communication skills and strong ability to connect with and motivate students.
- A proven capacity for innovative, flexible and research-based teaching practice.
- Beautiful Mornington Peninsula location – a walk from the beach.
