With continued growth and investment across its back-office operations, the organisation has recently created a new Data & Business Analyst position to strengthen its data, reporting and business improvement capability.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Data & Business Analyst will play a key role in improving how data is collected, managed, analysed and reported across the organisation.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail of data while also looking at the bigger picture – identifying opportunities to improve systems, streamline processes and create greater consistency across reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and improving data collection, validation, integrity and reporting processes
• Developing and maintaining business reports, dashboards and reporting tools
• Using Advanced Excel and Power BI to analyse data and provide meaningful operational insights
• Working across multiple systems, spreadsheets and data sources to improve consistency and accuracy
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
• Utilising AI technology and tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to support system, reporting and process improvements
• Supporting contractual and business reporting requirements
• Working across a variety of projects and operational improvement initiatives
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government bodies and external partners

About You

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst, Business Analyst or Reporting Analyst who combines strong technical data capability with a practical understanding of business operations.

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

• Demonstrated experience across data analysis, business reporting and/or business improvement
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including developing reports and dashboards
• Confidence working with multiple systems, data sources and complex spreadsheets
• Experience improving data collection, reporting or operational processes
• An understanding of data validation, integrity and governance
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or similar technologies to improve efficiency and ways of working
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience within a regulated, government-funded, health, aged care, community services or not-for-profit environment will be highly regarded
