Iberdrola is now recruiting for an experienced civil project engineer to oversee construction on a new BESS project outside of Adelaide.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer, this is a site-based construction role, responsible for coordinating the delivery of all civil works including earthworks and pavements for a new BESS project.

Some specific responsibilities include:

· Act as the primary interface between the EPC Contractor, designers, consultants and the Owner’s project team

· Manage the delivery of all civil works in accordance with the project programme.

• Monitor contractor performance, productivity and compliance with contractual requirements.
  
  · Review civil designs for constructability and compliance.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), design clarifications and technical queries.
  
  · Ensure contractor alignment with Iberdrola’s ESG commitments, sustainability expectations, and long-term operational safety requirements.
  
  
  About You
  
  
  To be successful in this role you will have tertiary civil engineering qualifications and strong site and project-based experience on large infrastructure construction projects, ideally in renewables or similar.
  
  
  You will have proven experience delivering earthworks, pavements, foundations, drainage and utility infrastructure.
  
  Your excellent interpersonal skills allow you to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, resulting in exceptional performance.
  
  Experience working on renewable energy, substations, transmission or major civil infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  
  You will be able to fully commit to a 12-month contract working Monday – Friday in both office and site environments in Adelaide.
  
  This is an Adelaide based role. No relocation, FIFO, accommodation or travel allowances apply.
