- Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Quality Manager. This opportunity is based in Malaysia.
Position Overview
- Oversee and drive all quality assurance and control activities within a manufacturing environment.
- Ensure robust quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to enhance operational performance and product reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance and control within our manufacturing facility.
- Ensures implementation and improvement of the quality part of the Integrated Management System (including process management) according to corporate quality strategy and respective local regulations.
- Cooperates closely with relevant internal stakeholders across geographies, i.e. R&D, Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, corporate quality, etc.
- Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
- Lead supplier quality activities including incoming quality, SCAR management, change control and capability evidence (Cpk).
- Drive PFMEA, SPC and structured problem solving (8D, CAPA, DMAIC) to secure stable process performance.
- Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
- Plans, implements and follows up the audit programme (including certification audits where applicable) and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements; copy exact experience will be a plus
- Foster an open error reporting culture with early escalation, rapid containment and strong root cause prevention.
- Prepare regular reports on quality performance for management review.
- Provide leadership to cross-functional teams to resolve customer quality, product and application issues
- Fosters team skills and motivation to achieve quality objectives
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 7 years of total work experience in relevant industries, of which at least 5 years is in Quality or Quality-related scope
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or similar discipline
- Knowledge or direct exposure on wireless communications/RF engineering, PCB or equivalent related technical experience in fields of electronic test equipment preferred
- Relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing is a plus
- Ability to develop a solutions-based approach in corrective measures for defective parts, failure rates from component to assembly
- Ability to act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality
- Good understanding of quality management system ISO 9001, Six Sigma and other quality methods
- Expertise in PFMEA, SPC, Cpk/stability analysis and 8D/CAPA
- Strong leadership, audit readiness skills and communication across suppliers and customers
- Quality assurance and control in manufacturing environments
- Integrated Management System implementation and process management
- Supplier quality management including SCAR, change control, and Cpk analysis
- Structured problem-solving methodologies: PFMEA, SPC, 8D, CAPA, DMAIC
- Audit programme planning, certification audits, and compliance assessments
- Quality management systems including ISO 9001 and Six Sigma
- Wireless communications/RF engineering, PCB, or electronic test equipment exposure
- Semiconductor manufacturing knowledge (advantageous)
- Data analysis related to failure rates, component performance, and assembly quality
- Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing
