Senior Network Engineer - Projects & Automation - Cisco | Python

Work for a Major Australian Bank as a Senior Network Engineer in their Network Projects & Automation team. This is a Hybrid role that requires 2 days per week in the office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Deliver impactful network transformation and modernisation projects
• Design, build, and implement new network services
• Safely manage traffic migration, routing changes, and upgrades
• Review designs, plan changes, and troubleshoot complex issues
• Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to turn requirements into real-world solutions

What You Bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in enterprise network engineering
• Strong Cisco expertise (BGP, OSPF, STP, NX-OS, Nexus 9K)
• Proven track record delivering large-scale network projects
• Hands-on experience with VXLAN EVPN / data centre overlays
• Exposure to network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Jenkins, PyATS, NDFC/DCNM)
• Firewall knowledge (Juniper SRX, Fortinet, NSX)
• Excellent communication skills + strong ownership mindset
• CCNP / CCIE (highly regarded)
