  • Work alongside the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
  • Lead executive coordination across a high-performing leadership team
  • Influence decisions, remove roadblocks and keep critical programs on track

About the Company
The South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) is a key agency within the Department of Treasury and Finance, delivering financing, insurance, commercial advisory and fleet management services across the South Australian Government.

Working at the centre of government, SAFA plays a critical role in supporting the State's financial sustainability and long-term success. You'll join a collaborative, high-performing organisation that values innovation, accountability, flexibility and continuous improvement.

Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this role works across the Executive Leadership Team to make sure priorities stay on track and key pieces of work are delivered.

You'll coordinate executive reporting, governance processes, briefing papers and strategic deliverables while ensuring the CEO has the information, context and support needed to make informed decisions.

You'll also be the person connecting the dots across the organisation. Working with senior leaders, you'll monitor progress, identify risks early, manage competing priorities and help keep momentum across SAFA's strategic objectives.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working at the centre of an organisation, building strong relationships and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

About the Person
You'll bring experience working in a senior executive office, governance, strategic advisory or Chief of Staff-type role where you've supported senior leaders and managed competing priorities.

You're someone who can quickly understand the bigger picture while still paying close attention to detail. You're organised, confident working with senior stakeholders and comfortable asking questions, challenging where appropriate and following things through to completion.

Most importantly, you're someone who takes ownership, anticipates what's needed and enjoys being the person others rely on to keep things moving.

  • Manage executive reporting cycles, governance processes and forward work plans.
  • Coordinate high-quality briefing papers, submissions and decision papers.

  • Support the CEO and ELT with accurate, timely and well-prepared information.
  • Build strong relationships across SAFA, DTF and key stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging risks, resolve roadblocks and manage competing priorities.
  • Coordinate executive meetings, forums and key organisational activities.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and communication across the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across executive operations and governance.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience supporting CEOs, Executive Leadership Teams or senior executives in a strategic, governance or executive coordination role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including preparing executive briefings, reports and submissions.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong judgement, discretion and the ability to deal with confidential information.
  • Experience coordinating complex pieces of work from planning through to delivery.
  • Government experience will be well regarded but is not essential.
