Overview:
As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and reconciling fixed asset books, processing capital projects, and supporting revenue accounting activities. This position demands a hands-on, proactive professional capable of managing large data sets and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Working four days in-office and one day remote, you'll be immersed in a fast-paced environment that values accuracy, initiative, and teamwork. The role is expected to run from immediately after Labor Day 2026 through January 2027, with potential for extension or conversion if the employee returns from leave.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with fixed assets, capital projects, or property accounting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets and complex financial information
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or similar accounting systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities
• Self-motivated with a collaborative approach

Nice to Have Skills:

• Fixed asset and lease accounting experience
• Revenue accounting experience
• Knowledge of property tax filings and SEC reporting processes
• Experience with ChatGPT or other AI tools
• Retail industry background

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 2+ years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience

Other Requirements:

• Location: 3250 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco
• Work Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday in-office; Friday remote
• Worksite: Hybrid; 4 days in-office, 1 day remote
• No travel required
• This role is primarily onsite with some flexibility based on company policies and candidate arrangements
• Potential for conversion to permanent employment contingent on internal decisions and employee return from leave
