They have a line manager role: Product Development Customer Lead
Overview:
- Responsible of all aspects of Program Launch execution for a specific customer, from Pursuit to Launch and up to Service of parts. It covers achieving customer satisfaction at company program profitability commitment.
- Directly leads a team of Chief Program Engineers covering multiple programs coordinating with other departments like Operation, Purchasing, Tech Sales and Sales.
R&R:
- Responsibility for all product deliverables with their customer
- P&L / Budget and resource management at the customer level
- Responsible for engineering effort and delivery inputs of business development
- System gate sign-off and Product Development Standard gate pre-approvals
- Strategic customer engagement starting at RFI/RFQ stage
- Customer SOW review/approval
- Drive closure on warranty/QR engineering-related issues
Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science, Electrical, Computer Science or similar
- Over 15 years Automotive Experience, Tier 1 and / or OEM side
- Over 10 years engineering / Program Launch Execution
- Team leadership experience
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills (internally & externally) in a global environment Strategic Oversight and responsibility for all product deliverables with their customer/PL
- Business level of Japanese and English (reading, writing, speaking)
Preferred:
- Interior Electronics experience
- Software process knowledge
- Manufacturing process knowledge
- Intimacy with specific customer
