This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accountant or experienced Finance Officer looking for a role with purpose. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you'll support the financial management of grant-funded programs, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure funding is tracked, reported and acquitted accurately. So, what's the role?

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in the financial management of grant-funded programs. You'll prepare budgets, monitor expenditure, complete grant acquittals and financial reporting, and work closely with managers across the organisation to ensure funding requirements are met.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and maintaining grant budgets.
  • Monitoring grant income and expenditure against funding agreements.
  • Preparing grant acquittals and financial reports.
  • Completing variance analysis and providing financial insights.
  • Supporting external audits and maintaining compliance with funding agreements.
  • Partnering with managers across the organisation to provide financial advice and support.
  • Identifying financial risks and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What we're looking for
You'll be someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing accurate financial reporting.

Ideally, you'll bring:
  • Experience as an Accountant or Finance Officer.
  • Previous experience with grant acquittals, grant reporting or project accounting.
  • Experience working within the not-for-profit or government sector, particularly in grant-funded environments, will be highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a willingness to build strong working relationships.
