Interim Home Manager Location: Harpenden Salary: Up to £350 per day Job Type: Interim Contract Are you an experienced Home Manager with a proven track record of successfully turning around underperforming care services? We are recruiting for an experienced Interim Home Manager to lead a residential care service through a critical period of improvement and transformation. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, resilient, and commercially aware leader who can quickly assess service performance, implement robust action plans, and create sustainable improvements. Key Responsibilities Provide strong interim leadership to stabilise and improve service performance. Lead and deliver comprehensive service improvement and turnaround plans. Drive compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, and best practice standards. Improve quality outcomes, governance processes, audits, and risk management procedures. Develop, mentor, and motivate care teams to achieve high-performance standards. Build positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and external stakeholders. Monitor occupancy levels, budgets, and operational performance to support service sustainability. Manage recruitment, retention, and workforce planning to ensure safe staffing levels. Oversee action plans following inspections, audits, and quality reviews. Champion person-centred care, dignity, choice, and independence for every resident. About You Proven experience as a Home Manager within residential elderly care. Demonstrable success leading service turnarounds and driving measurable improvements. Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance frameworks, and safeguarding legislation. Experienced in managing change, improving team culture, and delivering operational excellence. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to quickly identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
