This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner to step into a leadership role with a successful local authoirty in Canterbury.
As Duty Planning Supervisor, you will be responsible for setting up and leading a team of Duty Planners, while remaining hands-on with a range of planning and resource management work. You will coordinate day-to-day planning enquiries, pre-application meetings, and resource consent processing, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and within legislative timeframes.
The role offers plenty of variety, including providing planning advice on complex development proposals, processing land use and subdivision applications, working with developers and consultants, responding to public enquiries and contributing to District Plan reviews and plan changes.
Youll work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders and the wider community, playing an important role in supporting sustainable growth across the district.
