CHIPSEAL FOREPERSON/SUPERVISOR – Wairarapa

$85k-$100k + Company Vehicle + Benefits

Sick of just being another number? Time to lead from the front. RobLawMax Recruitment is looking for a hands-on Chip Seal Supervisor to join a well-known and highly respected NZ civil construction company in the sunny Wairarapa.

If you know your chip seal, know how to run a crew, and aren't afraid to get stuck in alongside your team, we want to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll be the person leading the crew on the ground, setting the standard and making sure the job gets done safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Lead a great team by example
  • Get stuck into the hands-on chip sealing work
  • Coordinate your crew, plant and materials
  • Keep projects moving and hit production targets
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety
  • Work alongside experienced supervisors and management
  • Take ownership of your jobs from start to finish

What we're after

We're looking for someone with:

  • Strong chipseal/roading experience
  • Previous senior crew experience
  • A hands-on, get-stuck-in attitude
  • The confidence to lead people and make decisions
  • A strong focus on safety, quality and getting the job done
  • Good communication and a solid work ethic
  • Class 2 license with RWT endorsements and relevant experience is highly desirable.
  • You don't need to be the loudest person on site — you just need to know your stuff, back your team and lead from the front.
