Senior Accountant

The Opportunity 
A senior accounting role with real ownership. You’ll take full responsibility for key balance sheet accounts, asset accounting, and high-quality financial reporting in a commercial industrial environment.
This is not a pure processing role. You’ll own the integrity of material balance sheet items, drive month-end quality, deliver clear insight to the business, and continuously improve the processes around you.

What you’ll own

• Ownership of core balance sheet reconciliations (rental assets, inventory and work-in-progress)
• Preparation of accurate, audit-ready financial information in line with accounting standards and group requirements
• Monthly management reporting with clear analysis against budget and plan
• Capital expenditure and committee reporting packs
• Process improvement — mapping workflows, tightening controls, and keeping SOPs current
• Full financial control of a significant asset portfolio - including stocktakes, valuations, reporting, forecasts and budgets

What we’re looking for

• CA-qualified with a tertiary accounting qualification
• Ideally Commercial experience post-qualification
• Strong technical foundation with advanced Excel skills and experience on a commercial ERP/accounting system
• Someone who is detail-driven, resilient under deadline pressure, and comfortable challenging the status quo
• Clear communicator who builds effective working relationships across finance and operations
