People and Culture Business Partner

Our client is a large Government agency looking for People and Culture Business Partner for an initial 6 months contract with a possible extension. People & Culture Business Partners to partner with leaders and deliver impactful people strategies that drive organisational performance and capability.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Handling high-volume case management
• Managing grievances, performance issues, and fitness-for-duty matters
• Deliver initiatives across workforce planning, talent, culture, and organisational design
• Support the business through transformational change and workforce challenges
• Identify and manage people risks and capability gaps
• Strong background supporting a frontline, operational or industrial workforce
• Experience in unionised environments / industrial relations is highly desirable
• Confident managing complex and sensitive employee matters
• Use data and insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
• Build strong, trusted relationships across stakeholders

Experience Required:

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner ideally in public sector environment
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and systems
• Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Confident influencing and negotiating at senior levels
