We are working with a well-established engineering consultancy delivering automation and control systems projects across the mining, resources, infrastructure and industrial sectors.
Due to ongoing project demand, an opportunity exists for a Control Systems Engineer to join a growing team working across the full project lifecycle, from design and development through to commissioning and operational support.
About the role You will be involved in the delivery of PLC, SCADA and industrial control systems solutions for major clients across Western Australia. The role offers a mix of office-based engineering work and site-based activities, supporting both brownfield and greenfield projects.

Due to ongoing project demand, an opportunity exists for a Control Systems Engineer to join a growing team working across the full project lifecycle, from design and development through to commissioning and operational support.
About the role You will be involved in the delivery of PLC, SCADA and industrial control systems solutions for major clients across Western Australia. The role offers a mix of office-based engineering work and site-based activities, supporting both brownfield and greenfield projects.
Responsibilities include:
- PLC and SCADA software development
- Control system design and documentation
- Functional specification development
- FAT, SAT and commissioning activities
- Fault finding and troubleshooting of control systems
- Integration of PLC, SCADA, DCS and field instrumentation
- Working closely with clients, operations and project teams
- Supporting system upgrades, migrations and optimisation projects
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechatronic, Control Systems or Automation Engineering
- Experience delivering industrial automation and control systems projects
- Strong PLC programming experience, ideally with Allen Bradley, Schneider or Siemens platforms
- SCADA experience using systems such as Citect, AVEVA, Wonderware, Ignition or similar
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Modbus, Ethernet/IP and Profibus/Profinet
- Exposure to mining, resources, ports, energy or industrial facilities
- Experience with commissioning and site support activities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
