Production 2nd Shift
2nd shift: 1:30pm-9:30pm Monday - Friday
$18.72 hr

Job Summary


Under limited supervision, operates equipment such as small presses, riveters, welders and drivers. The machines may be manual or automatic; adjustments are of a routine nature. Tolerances are normally close but not difficult to measure or maintain. Produces a variety of assemblies or subassemblies.

Other duties as required by Management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Operate machines and all auxiliary equipment with minimum supervision.
  2. Change over equipment and ensure quality of product.
  3. Make changes in prescribed operating conditions as necessary to produce quality products.
  4. Perform necessary test and measurements to assure product meets required specifications.
  5. Keep accurate products data and records as required.
  6. Correct or adjust any machine malfunction immediately to ensure continuity of production and quality of next process.
  7. Report any major machine malfunction immediately to Supervisor/Group Leader.
  8. Continually inspect products while performing other duties.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  10. Assist in other duties as directed by your Supervisor/Group Leader.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in LEAN manufacturing
2. Participate in Kaizen activities
3. Notify supervisor/group leader of quality discrepancies
4. Label and wrap skids
5. Conduct inventory
Qualifications

Experience in a factory setting preferred. Accuracy in recordkeeping, following directions, adaptability, team – oriented, able to accept change and require little or no supervision. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience in a factory setting preferred. Must be able to keep detailed records and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

Language & Communication Skills

English language preferred. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

1. Accuracy – must be detailed oriented
2. Mathematical competency - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, twist, and walk. Also includes lifting, push/pull, and grasping. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
