Senior Project Manager - Built Environment

Aspect Personnel is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager within a large and growing local government organisation in Melbourne’s western suburbs.  You will lead a diverse portfolio of building capital works projects, including community pavilions, community centres and other significant community infrastructure.

Projects range from $500K to $20M and will span the full project lifecycle, from early feasibility and initiation through to delivery and completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of major and complex building capital works projects.
• Manage budgets, timelines, risks, contracts and procurement.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
• Lead tender processes and tender assessment panels.
• Contribute to feasibility assessments, project scoping and initiation.
• Provide specialist project advice to senior management and Council.
• Prepare project reports, briefings and submissions.
• Manage key stakeholders and project working groups.
• Mentor Project Managers across the organisation.
• Ensure strong governance, compliance and financial outcomes.

You will be an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in complex building or community infrastructure projects.

Ideally, you will have:

• Proven experience delivering building capital works projects, preferably $10M+.
• Full project lifecycle experience.
• Strong contract, consultant and contractor management skills.
• Experience managing budgets, risk, procurement and governance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Local government or public-sector experience is highly regarded.
