Currently, we are searching for a Manufacturing / Production Engineer (m/w/d) on behalf of a leading European construction solutions client.

Scope of the Role

As Manufacturing / Production Engineer, you will assume responsibility for the planning, integration, and ongoing process improvement of shopfloor delivery at offsite manufacturing / prefabrication facilities. Located in Newbridge, Ireland, and Schoenebeck, Germany, there is potential for the manufacturing base to expand further in the near future.

Working with the existing site teams at each facility, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring all project deadlines are met, integrating all aspects of production with client demand including production planning/scheduling, workforce planning, work-in-progress monitoring, shop floor issue resolution, and ongoing process improvement across the facilities.

Depending on the candidate, the role can be based in Ireland or Germany and will require regular short-duration travel to maintain positive working relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to plan & schedule works into Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) facilities and ensure production processes are fit for delivery while analysing existing methods.
• Schedule works to optimise available capacity across facilities.
• Conduct ongoing reviews of manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and new production technologies.
• Monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards across all production activities.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimisation, and root cause problem-solving.
• Develop and maintain documentation for production processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–4 years’ work experience in a similar manufacturing or production engineering role.
• Proficiency in process optimisation, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong root cause analysis, analytical ability, detail orientation, and decisive decision-making under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with CAD software.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; bilingual capabilities (German and English) are considered an advantage.
• Proven skills in project management and working across cross-functional teams.
