Kingston Human Capital are supporting a major QLD State Government Department with the appointment of a Change Analyst. This role will be based in Carseldine (Brisbane Northern Suburbs), for an initial 12-month assignment, with potential extensions.
About the role
As Change Analyst, you will support the successful adoption of the iCARS solution by assessing change impacts, supporting business readiness activities, and contributing to the development and delivery of change management artefacts.
Working as part of the iCARS Change and Adoption Team, you will focus on understanding business impacts, supporting learning and communication activities, and ensuring stakeholders are prepared to transition to new systems, processes and ways of working.
The role works closely with business stakeholders, the project team, and functional specialists including learning, communications, technical and delivery teams to support consistent, people-centred change outcomes.

About the role

Key accountabilities and responsibilities include:
Change Impact and Readiness
- Conduct change impact assessments across business areas, roles, processes, systems and behaviours.
- Identify change risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies to support planning and sequencing.
- Support business readiness assessments, checkpoints and go-live criteria.
- Contribute to transition planning, including cutover, hypercare and early-life support.
Develop and maintain change management artefacts, including:
- Change and Adoption Plans
- Business Readiness Checklists
- Learning plans and support materials
- Stakeholder engagement artefacts
- Communication plans and schedules
- Support delivery of change activities aligned to agreed frameworks and methodologies.
- Monitor and report on change progress, issues and risks.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, briefings and engagement activities.
- Prepare and distribute change communications and visual assets for different audiences.
- Support digital communication channels to drive awareness, engagement and adoption
- Support learning needs analysis and validate learning requirements.
- Assist with development and deployment of learning assets such as guides, job aids and intranet content.
- Support learning delivery, logistics, evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as required.
Mandatory Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience supporting organisational change within projects or programs.
- Proven capability in change impact assessments and business readiness activities.
- Experience working in government or complex organisations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
- Qualifications in business, communications or a related field.
- Change management certification (e.g. PROSCI).
- Experience with large-scale digital, ICT or enterprise system projects.
- Experience with LMS and e-learning tools.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Online, Adobe Creative Suite, Visio, Viva Engage, Forms and similar platforms.
- Initial 12-month assignment, possible extension
- $80 to $85 per hour + 12% Superannuation (PAYG Agency Contractor)
- 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
