Apply directWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at a well-established 75-bed skilled nursing facility near Weldon, NC. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services and day-to-day clinical operations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including survey readiness.
- Partner closely with the Administrator to drive quality improvement initiatives and achieve facility goals.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, infection control, and risk management programs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff through education, coaching, and performance management.
- Support recruitment, retention, and employee engagement efforts.
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
- Promote a resident-centered approach to care while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility).
- Previous leadership experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute setting.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal nursing home regulations.
- Proven experience with survey management, quality measures, and clinical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop nursing teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
