Unique opportunity to join a highly-respected Association as Chief Operating Officer. 

In this senior leadership role, your remit is to grow the membership base, provide commercial stewardship and guide and mentor the close-knit team. Reporting directly to the Board, a key part of the role is developing close stakeholder relationships with major clients, industry partners and internal resources. Guided by your strategic mindset, you’ll develop actionable plans to drive membership acquisition, improve membership experience and add value to membership. You’ll explore new educational product development, and ensure the organisation offering is contemporary and relevant. You’ll also ensure the visibility and profile of the organisation through networking, thought leadership and media engagement. With a commercial lens, you’ll work with Finance and Operations to deliver profitability, efficiency and sustainability. Most importantly, you’ll engender an inclusive, kind and cohesive culture, united in purpose and vision.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have a strong understanding of Marketing and ideally a background in memberships, associations or partnerships. Exposure to Boards is important, as is the ability to network and build industry relationships.

The role is with a well-known industry body, recognised for their training and education, awards and industry advocacy. It’s a down-to-earth culture and they are seeking a “hands-on” operator who can thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. The role is fully remote, open to candidates in Sydney or Melbourne.
