Community Venues Marketing & Promotions Officer
Location: Sunbury (and other surounding locations)
Rate: $41 per hour + super
Contract: Full-time, on-site | ASAP – 31 August
This is a hands-on marketing and promotions role focused on promoting Council community centres and venues and helping maximise their use by community groups and service providers.
You’ll deliver marketing activities, support events and activations, and work closely with internal council teams and the local community.
This is a practical, delivery-focused promotions role. It is not a senior strategic marketing position and is best suited to someone who enjoys hands-on campaign delivery and community-facing work.

What you’ll be doing
- Deliver marketing and promotional activities for Council Community Centres and Venues (digital, social, e-marketing, basic advertising and promotions)
- Promote venues and programs to community groups and service providers to increase utilisation
- Support engagement plans, activations, and community events
- Assist with simple market research, surveys, and feedback
- Work on-site across Broadmeadows and other council locations as required
- Experience in marketing, promotions, communications or events
- Comfortable delivering digital and print campaigns
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Happy working in a community or council environment
- Current driver’s licence and access to a car
- Ability to work full-time, fully on-site (no hybrid)
- Availability to start ASAP and commit through to 31 August
