About the opportunity 
Due to growth within our Disability & Social Services practice, and the shifting nature of the sector, we are seeking an experienced recruiter to join our team, with a focus on Disability, Social Services, Domestic Violence and Housing appointments across the sector. 
In this role, you will gain unparalleled access to established client relationships and retained search processes, focused on appointing leaders and specialist professionals across community services organisations committed to supporting vulnerable Australians. Typical roles may include Disability Service Managers, Operations Managers, Case Managers, Housing specialists, Therapeutic Specialists, Domestic Violence practitioners, Program Managers, Regional Managers and senior leadership appointments. 

You will work closely with senior leaders who bring extensive experience across the Human Services sector, providing mentorship and guidance while delivering high-impact recruitment solutions for organisations creating meaningful social change. These partnerships allow you to manage retained search processes end-to-end, build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and contribute to impactful appointments that strengthen frontline service delivery and community outcomes. 

Orchard provides retained search for all permanent roles, ensuring a dedicated and thorough recruitment process tailored to each client’s needs in a consultative manner. About you 
We’re looking for a high-energy, solutions-focused individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have: 
  • Experience recruiting within Disability, Social Services, Community Services, Domestic Violence or Housing  
  • Prior recruitment experience within an agency setting 
  • Proven business development experience, including winning new clients, generating new opportunities and building a sustainable pipeline of work 
  • Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and grow long-term client relationships 
  • Confidence managing retained search processes end-to-end 
  • Excellent written and professional communication skills 
  • A passion for the Human Services sector and for-purpose organisations 
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the practice
