System Engineer

Our client is a global motion control technology company across all mega-trends – including ADAS/automated driving, electrification, shared mobility. Their office in Japan is seeking to hire a System Engineer. Overview: This System Engineer role is a key member of the project team. Our client is focused on a specific system within ADAS / AD. The product is complex and challenging, great for engineers who enjoy technical work. Mission: Responsible for system level engineering (ECU, Motor, Torque Sensor and Connector) to meet customer requirements, expectation, and key customer milestones as a member on project development team. Participate in the discussion with the global team and meetings with customers and suppliers. Take a proactive approach to solving complex issues and make proper engineering decisions. Handle System Safety which responsible for applying the ISO26262 functional safety process. (Preferred) Support the full lifecycle of the safety process - from concept and requirements through design and analysis to implementation and testing. Responsibilities: Act as a direct interface between Japanese OEM and the global engineering team. Participate in the development, validation, and improvement of requirements Attend customer meetings, complete assigned action-items and regularly report on progress. Work on site with JOEMs in Japan and overseas during hardware and software testing. Update vehicle and system bench content. Assist JOEMs with duplicating and debugging issues on the bench and in the vehicle. Investigate vehicle application issues with customer and address resolution. Provide voice of customer to project team. Participate in validation/testing of HW/SW releases, SW patches at JOEMs. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronic Engineering required. Systems engineering experience preferred, especially hands on bench support. Minimum 5 years SW embedded system experience in Automotive Industry A big advantage if have 2 or more-year experience with ISO26262, IEC 61508 or similar and experience with safety analysis such as FTA and FMEDA
