EQUIP People are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Electrician for a Wellington-based bakery manufacturing site.
This practical, hands-on role focuses on safe and effective maintenance, plant reliability, fault response and continuous improvement across industrial production equipment and services.
Key duties include:
- Delivering preventative and reactive maintenance across plant and equipment
- Troubleshooting electrical faults and supporting breakdown response
- Supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring machinery guarding and HSE compliance standards are maintained
- Supporting QA and food safety requirements across the site
- Assisting with plant upgrades, installs and contractor coordination
- Completing maintenance records and operational documentation
- Participating in an on-call roster as required
What We're Looking For
- Electrical qualification with current EWRB registration
- Strong industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Experience with preventative maintenance and breakdown support
- PLC troubleshooting exposure preferred (Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley advantageous)
- Strong understanding of machinery safety and HSE requirements
- Good communication and fault-finding capability
- Food manufacturing or bakery experience highly regarded
- Reliable and safety focused approach
