Currently, we are partnering with a leading European construction solutions provider to recruit an OFCI Lead – Munich, Germany (m/w/d) for a major international construction project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client and contractor-procured equipment and materials from order placement through manufacturing, inspection, FWT, site delivery, installation, and commissioning.
• Lead weekly vendor meetings to monitor manufacturing progress, inspections, delivery schedules, and potential impacts to the project programme.
• Establish clear communication channels and designated points of contact with all vendors.
• Communicate project requirements, expectations, programme updates, and changes clearly and effectively to vendors.
• Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against agreed service levels, quality standards, project requirements, and programme milestones.
• Build strong working relationships with vendors based on collaboration, accountability, and mutual understanding.
• Identify and resolve vendor issues and conflicts promptly to maintain project progress.
• Develop and communicate detailed vendor schedules, including tasks, dependencies, milestones, and deadlines.
• Conduct regular schedule reviews with vendor project management teams, identifying delays, deviations, and required corrective actions.
• Arrange and coordinate Factory Witness Testing (FWT) with vendors, the client, and project teams.
• Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and associated activities with all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure commissioning (Cx) protocols and requirements are followed throughout the equipment lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, progress, issues, actions, and agreed outcomes.
• Escalate potential programme and delivery risks to senior management in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Experience in equipment and material control, vendor management, or supply chain within an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) environment.
• Proven experience managing vendors and suppliers across complex construction or engineering projects.
• Experience with Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and commissioning (Cx) processes.
• Strong understanding of equipment procurement, manufacturing, inspection, delivery, installation, and commissioning processes.
• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and confidence in resolving vendor and project issues.
• Ability to maintain performance and focus under pressure within a fast-paced project environment.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive project information professionally.
• Strong team-working skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across client, contractor, vendor, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Experience within data centres, advanced technology, life sciences, or other complex engineering/construction environments would be advantageous.
