Class A CDL Truck Driver / Material Handler

West Erie welding company is hiring a full-time Class A CDL Truck Driver/Material Handler for 1st shift (6:30 AM - 2:30 PM). In this role, you will safely deliver and pick up materials for the company and its customers, load and secure freight, complete vehicle inspections and delivery records, and support other departments between deliveries. Pay is up to $25.00 per hour, based on experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport, load, unload, and secure materials for delivery and pickup.

  • Complete vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery records.

  • Follow DOT regulations and all company safety procedures.

  • Provide professional, courteous customer service on every delivery.

  • Assist other departments with material handling and other tasks when not making deliveries.

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Valid Class A CDL and DOT medical card required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Six months of driving experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of safe driving practices and load securement procedures.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.

  • Must wear steel toe boots.

Benefits/Compensation

  • Full Time

  • Pay Rate is up to $25.00 per hour, based on experience
