Apply directWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all nursing operations, provide leadership and mentorship to the clinical team, and partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary departments to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and person-centered care. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, an effective problem solver, and a hands-on leader who is passionate about making a difference every day.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of all nursing services.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to promote engagement and retention.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including survey readiness.
- Monitor clinical quality measures and implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and labor management to maintain quality resident care.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes.
- Manage infection prevention, risk management, and quality assurance programs.
- Promote a positive, supportive culture focused on resident satisfaction and employee success.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, survey process, and clinical reimbursement.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Passion for developing teams and delivering exceptional resident care.
