Compliance Manager

Angle Recruitment has partnered with a leading shipping company to hire a Compliance Manager to join their Legal team in Singapore.
 
You will be responsible for supporting the business on compliance and regulatory matters, with a strong focus on sanctions and risk management.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day compliance matters, with a key focus on sanctions compliance.
• Review and monitor sanctions-related risks involving customers, business partners and transactions.
• Keep up to date with international sanctions and regulatory developments.
• Provide practical compliance advice to internal stakeholders.
• Support due diligence and compliance reviews for higher-risk business activities.
• Review and improve internal compliance policies and processes.
• Assist with compliance investigations and risk assessments when required.
• Support compliance training and awareness across the business.
• Work with different teams on regional compliance projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Compliance, Business or a related field.
• Ideally more than 5 years of relevant compliance experience.
• Strong experience in sanctions compliance is preferred.
• Experience in shipping, maritime, logistics or a related industry would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of international sanctions and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regional environment.
