Job Duties: Fabrication/Machine Operator

A Fabrication/Machine Operator here operates, sets up, and adjusts metal fabrication machinery to manufacture these products while strictly maintaining safety standards and production quotas.
Common job duties and requirements for this role in the Gastonia area include:

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Safely operate production machinery such as mechanical/hydraulic presses, press brakes, shears, saws, and automated welders.
• Setup and Maintenance: Perform equipment changeovers, select correct tooling, and make basic adjustments to ensure optimal running conditions.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts utilizing calipers, gauges, and tape measures to ensure they meet precise blueprint specifications.
• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials (such as steel, cast iron, and polyurethane) and move finished goods to designated staging areas. [
• Workplace Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work zone, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots.
