Electrician Class I

We are seeking a skilled Electrician Class I to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced industrial electrician with a strong background in machinery panel building, machine wiring, and electrical troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, electrical schematics, control drawings, and bills of material
• Build and wire electrical control panels from layout through completion
• Prepare subplates, junction boxes, conduit, and machine wiring components
• Install transformers, controls, cables, and other electrical components
• Perform machine wiring and verify proper electrical connections
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, machine tools, and equipment
• Conduct diagnostic check-outs of machine controls
• Use electrical test equipment, gauges, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in machinery panel building and machine wiring
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, conduit drawings, and bills of material
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience using electrical test equipment and construction-related tools
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must provide adequate tools required for the position
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting for extended periods
