My client is a well-established chemical distributor seeking an Account Manager to join their Industrial and Water Treatment division.

This role will focus on maintaining and growing a diverse portfolio of industrial clients across water treatment, detergents, and general chemical applications, supplying high-quality chemical products to manufacturing and processing sectors.

 

The position suits a commercially minded salesperson with a background in commodity or industrial chemical sales; someone who understands process-based environments, builds relationships easily, and thrives on developing new business opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing industrial and water treatment customer accounts.

• Identify new business opportunities across manufacturing, process, and treatment sectors.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless supply and customer satisfaction.

• Develop proposals, pricing, and strategies to drive portfolio growth.

• Maintain strong market knowledge across competitors and product trends.

 

Candidate Profile

• 3+ years sales experience in chemical or commodity sales; ideally within water treatment or industrial cleaning sectors.

• Confident communicator with solid relationship management and business development skills.

• Self-driven and commercially focused, with the ability to work autonomously within a defined region.

• Comfortable liaising with production, procurement, and operations stakeholders.

• Strong organisational and reporting skills.
