Group Legal Advisor (Digital Media & Commercial)

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial & Content Contracting: Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial agreements covering content acquisition, production, distribution, advertising, subscriptions, and IP development.
• Strategic & Regulatory Advisory: Deliver proactive legal and regulatory advice to enable expansion into existing and emerging markets across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
• Corporate & M&A Initiatives: Support corporate transactions, strategic joint ventures, and M&A matters alongside the Senior Group Legal Adviser.
• Dispute & Risk Management: Oversee contentious legal issues, regulatory inquiries, and risk mitigation strategies relating to the media business.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Interact independently with senior management, business unit leaders, external legal counsel, and government authorities.

Candidate Profile

• Education & Qualification: Qualified lawyer with 4+ years of relevant post-qualification experience (PQE) from an internationally recognized jurisdiction and/or top-tier in-house corporate team.
• Industry Expertise: Proven legal track record supporting media, digital platforms, content licensing, or technology sectors across Southeast Asia and/or the Middle East.
• Technical Skills: Exceptional commercial drafting, negotiation, multi-tasking, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Languages: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin)
• Interpersonal Fit: Highly mature, self-driven, and collaborative with strong commercial acumen and the ability to build rapport across diverse business units.
