Insurance Assessor / Supervisor Townsville | $110k–$120k + Super + Car

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Assessor / Supervisor to join a growing team in Townsville.
This is a hands-on role that will see you spending the majority of your time out on site, assessing insurance repair works, meeting with clients and trades, and managing jobs through to completion. You’ll generally spend 1–2 days per week in the office, with the remainder of your time out and about across the Townsville region.

The role will involve managing anywhere from 2–15 jobs at a time, depending on the size and complexity of the projects.
About the Role
  • Assess and scope insurance repair works across residential properties
  • Attend sites, inspect damage and determine the required works
  • Manage jobs from initial assessment through to completion
  • Coordinate trades, contractors and clients
  • Prepare scopes, reports and documentation
  • Manage multiple jobs simultaneously, depending on project size
  • Use Prime Ecosystem to manage jobs and documentation
  • Spend approximately 1–2 days per week in the office, with the majority of the role being site-based
  • Ensure works are completed to a high standard, within required timeframes and budgets
About You Ideally, you will come from a building/construction background and have experience in insurance assessing, supervision, estimating or residential construction.

We are looking for someone who is confident dealing with clients and trades, can assess building works accurately and is comfortable managing multiple jobs independently.
  • Previous building or construction experience
  • Insurance assessing or supervision experience highly regarded
  • QBCC licence preferred, but not essential
  • Experience using Prime Ecosystem highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of residential construction and repair works
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Comfortable being out on site and dealing directly with clients and contractors
